Partnership and Purpose
In partnership with the Luxembourg government, we at youth4planet are proud to introduce the Earthbeat Luxembourg Tour. With this initiative, we aim to spotlight Luxembourg’s efforts towards its climate targets, the health of its fauna and flora, and the myriad sustainable endeavors taking root across our beautiful country.
CreatiVelos: The Heart of the Tour
Central to this tour are our three “CreatiVelos” – solar-charged e-bikes brimming with creativity. Riding these bikes, each equipped with a monitor, we collect and share sustainability stories, reaching out to communities across the country of Luxemburg. Their mission is to confront the pressing climate emergency we all face.
The Head of the Tour: Semion Smolenskiy
Semion took part in the earthbeat COP26 tour and now decided, after finishing his exams, to join y4p for a year and tour around Luxemburg. Next week there will be an Interview with him about the tour and his first impressions. So stay tuned!
From Luxembourg to Glasgow: The Evolution of CreatiVelos
We first encountered the CreatiVelos in Luxembourg in 2021. They’ve evolved from mere story carriers to vibrant ambassadors for sustainability, showcasing crucial projects aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals. As we journeyed to the World Climate Conference in Glasgow (COP26), these bikes became platforms for spontaneous storytelling, where films were viewed and discussed in real-time.
Engaging Youth and Educational Institutions
With the support of passionate youth teams, our CreatiVelos have morphed into incubators for fresh ideas and visions of a greener tomorrow. The growing interest from schools and universities to adopt CreatiVelos as dynamic learning environments fuels our excitement, and the idea of collaborating with global CreatiVelo communities fills us with hope. Together, our bikes stand as symbols of peaceful, fun-filled transformation, steered by the vibrant ideas of the younger generation and the warmth of the sun.
