Learn to visualize your dreams and ideas and realize them in co-creation with your action team. By applying proven principles and processes you can effectively work together to reach a common goal.

Imagine to find other engaged students in your class, your school or university to take action and have a positive impact.

What are Action Teams?

Action teams come together to get things done – in schools, universities and workplaces. They learn from each other and develop stories and visions of sustainable lifestyles. They know that in a team they are more creative and effective than alone.

They are convinced that together they can change the course of history – for the best of our planet. They train to communicate across generations. With the AND – BUT – THEREFORE storytelling tools they learn to ask, understand and take action in one go.

Action teams are built on basic principles:

  • Respect

The respect for other perspectives and perceptions – because we are all different.

  • Unity

The unity of thinking, feeling and acting – because they are connected and influence each other.

  • Accountability

  • Integration

The integration of contradictions and tensions – because they are part of life and can be used to develop creative solutions and new perspectives.

7 Rules

The secret of successful action teams

1

Clarity of the goal

The common goal must be clearly and unambiguously formulated so that all group members know what is expected of them and what results should be achieved.

2

Common commitment

All group members must commit to achieving the common goal and be willing to work on it together.

3

Roles and responsibilities

It is important that group members know and understand their roles and responsibilities so that they can work together effectively.

4

Open communication

Open and honest communication within the group is crucial to avoid misunderstandings and address problems at an early stage.

5

Teamwork and collaboration

Each group member should be willing to work with others to achieve the common goal. This requires a cooperative attitude and the willingness to take advantage of the strengths of others and compensate for weaknesses.

6

Time management

The group should create a realistic schedule to ensure that the goal can be achieved within the specified time frame.

7

Feedback and reflection

Regular feedback and reflection processes within the group can help improve cooperation and ensure that the common goal is achieved.

This show the cooperation practice of a team:

  • Find common topic
  • Agree on value basis
  • Accept differences
  • Define roles
  • Pursuing co-creative goals
  • Being open for new things
  • Find topic
  • Research facts
  • Develop a research question
  • Decide to take responsibility
    for your topic
  • Find Group Rules

  • Respect others

  • Develop trust

  • Solve conflicts

  • Become your own „Chairperson”
