What we do

Our workshops inspire kids, teens and students to create impactful films with their smartphones. They develop stories and ideas that work across generations, genders and cultures. With our signature storytelling approach we use the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for raising awareness and create visible impact. We support action teams to develop their dreams and visions, reach out to a larger audience and join forces to make positive change happen.

Participation in international conferences and events

y4p is a regular contributor to international conferences on climate, sustainability and resilience. Young people show films, create events and raise their voice in public debates.

COP26 in Glasgow
A team of more than 40 people took CreatiVelo Bikes over 2000km across Europe to the Glasgow climate conference and presented films and findings at various events. Find out more
UNDRR 2022 in Bali: From Risk to Resilience – Towards sustainable development for all
Our mobile learning hub was featured at the ignite stage of the UN disaster and risk management conference. Our 5 films about resilient communities were featured on all stages of the conference
COP27 in Egypt
With our energy learning concept of PowerOnPyramids we co-created an art event with the German performance artist Joy Lohmann and presented it at the World Art Forum in the Green Zone of the COP.

Cooperation project with Fairtrade Luxembourg at Ecole Privée Fieldgen

In the framework of the Option développement durable at Fieldgen, we have repeatedly cooperated with Fairtrade Luxembourg. During this collaboration, students were thoroughly informed about fair trade clothing and food through interactive workshop units and learned about the background and benefits of the Fairtrade label. In the Youth4Planet units, they then underwent training to become filmmakers, so that several small groups produced various short films on different Fairtrade films.

We have run seminars and storytelling workshops with universities across Germany and Austria. Students are trained to become peer teachers of their generation and inspire concrete and research based change.

HAW EARTHS Summer school 2020, 2021, 2022...
Public Health is the topic of the summer school sponsored by DAAD, that involves students, medical staff and researchers to co-create films online and develop ideas to communicate across borders, cultures and continents.
Vienna University of Applied Arts
Our mobile learning hub was featured at the ignite stage of the UN disaster and risk management conference. Our 5 films about resilient communities were featured on all stages of the conference
Darmstadt University
Together with their professors students developed ideas for a resilient city and proposed them ins films to the city mayor. Several of their concepts were put into practice.

Cooperation example

"Respect: on- and offline" project in cooperation with the Centre for Intercultural Education (IKL) at Lycée Michel Rodange

We have already collaborated three times with IKL at LMRL for the project days “Respect: on- and offline”. Several classes learned in context-relevant exercises what it means to be a victim of bullying and what the consequences of disrespectful behavior are for those affected. After the young people completed a Youth4Planets crash course on film-making, they produced short clips in small groups on a violence and bullying theme, each with a solution proposal at the end of the clip, according to the Youth4Planets storytelling principle.
