Will digitization enable equal opportunities for all through education? What will education look like in 20 years?

These and other questions about education, digitization and digital learning were discussed as part of the international Foresight Challenge. Students from various European countries and from India, the USA, Egypt and Nigeria came together for four days in Berlin to learn from and with each other. They learned scenario techniques to then figure out for themselves how education will change in the future through technology and what is needed to ensure good education.

The scenarios developed by the participants were presented at the Global Learning Council Summit and linked to and discussed with input from experts on digital transformation in education. In addition, the students conducted and analysed interviews with the experts. Among them was an interview with Youth4Planet initiator Jörg Altekruse, in which he talks about the connection between youth participation, digital future and filmmaking.

The students’ work, the output and the whole interview with Jörg can be read in the Summary Report of the Foresight Challenge.
