Content Creation Workshops at the FUTURE DAYS at LTA Gilsdorf
In three Youth4planet workshops, the young people addressed the question of which of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have already been implemented at their school and where they think there is still room for improvement. In small groups, they shot short video clips and designed creative “Instagram tiles.“ The results will be posted on the social media channels of Y4P as well as on those of the sustainability group of the LTA.
Youth4planet Workshops for the SIAS Climate Day in Munsbach
In four elementary schools (Contern, Niederanven and Munsbach), intensive film processes took place over the past few weeks in which the children learned to use their iPads as an educational tool. The result is a variety of films on topics such as “traffic jams”, “meat consumption”, “waste” and “waste”. The films were presented to a larger audience on 07.05 at the climate day of the environmental syndicate SIAS. The reactions were overwhelming.
A small group of students from Munsbach also used the climate day for interviews with the present organizations and visitors to collect material for a report. The result will be published here soon.
„The children enthusiastically showed their films to their parents on the Creativelo and had them loaded onto their parents’ cell phones for their grandparents. From my point of view, the concept of involving other generations was a complete success.“Joerg Altekruse, founder of y4p
Fair Films 4 Future
As part of the option développement durable at Ecole Privée Fieldgen, a cooperation project between Youth4planet and Fairtrade LU is currently taking place once again. Until the summer vacations, students will produce films on fair trade topics. One can be curious!
Beyond COP 21 Symposium at St. Georges International School
Almost 160 students from different Luxembourgish schools had the opportunity to go through a crash course on filmmaking on 28.04. The workshops took place in the framework of the BEYOND COP 21 SYMPOSIUM, where different Luxembourg organizations from the ESD field were active at the international school St. Georges.
Our Youth4planet workshops in April and May 2023 have been a resounding success. With a focus on sustainable development, young people have had the opportunity to learn about and contribute to important issues through film and creative media. From elementary schools to cooperation projects, students have worked hard to produce meaningful content on topics ranging from fair trade to waste reduction. These workshops have demonstrated the power of education and collaboration in building a sustainable future, and we look forward to seeing the impact these young people will have in years to come.
