EU Talks & Bites: Building a Greener Europe conversation

Reading time: 2 min.

#YouAreInvited Thursday 11th December 2025 . . . from 18:00 to 19:30/20:00 to the EU Talks & Bites: Building a Greener Europe conversation . . . at the Europa Experience in the European Parliament . . . a “fire-side chat” designed to bring policymakers + climate practitioners + engaged citizens into an honest dialogue about what a fair and sustainable transition should look like in Europe.

Registration is free AND OBLIGATORY on the EC Europa’s event website https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/EUTalksandBitesDecemberGreenerEU

It is a privilege to share the table with super-star MEP Tilly Metz . . . Member of the European Parliament (Greens/EFA) + Ann Muller . . . Coordinatrice Générale de la LUGA – Luxembourg Urban Garden + Raymond Klein, Klimabündnis Lëtzebuerg + and Christian Thalacker-Heldenstein . . . contributing from my work with Youth4planet Luxembourg & as an EU Climate Pact LU Ambassador.

The evening opens with a short expert video on climate and sustainability, followed by a welcome from Caroline Reviriot, Director of Programmes at WeCitizens and Manager of Europe Direct Luxembourg-Ville. From there, the roundtable will address three themes that now sit at the core of Europe’s ecological transition: the future of sustainable cities + climate education as a civic competence . . . the role of citizen engagement in accelerating change that is both socially legitimate and institutionally durable.

The moderators have proposed several questions for reflection . . . questions I hope will spark an active exchange with everyone in the room:

• What makes a city genuinely sustainable?

• How organisations and municipalities can strengthen the Climate Pact and the wider ecological transition?

• Why climate education has become essential to Europe’s democratic resilience?

• What message we should offer to citizens already stepping forward to act?

After the panel and Q&A, the conversation continues with an informal networking moment until 20:00. Details and the full programme in French: https://communautefrancaisluxembourg.com/2025/12/02/invitation-eu-talksbites-construire-une-europe-plus-verte-11-12-2025-europa-experience/

If you plan to attend, bring your questions; bring your perspective; bring your curiosity about the Europe we are building together.

Remember: Registration is free AND OBLIGATORY on the EC Europa’s event website https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/EUTalksandBitesDecemberGreenerEU
