Dear Youth4Planet community, You are invited to step into the Climate Action Tiger’s shoes! This week, we’ve got a set of Financial Times and Bloomberg news articles that shape the narrative of our planet’s future. Here is a challenge: Which of these stories are steps toward planetary healing . . . and which ones are disasters?
Here’s the color code:
- Dark Blue Stripes = Planetary Progress: Clear, inspiring action for a better world.
- Light Blue Stripes = Hopeful Steps: Good intentions, with potential to grow.
- White Stripes = Neutral Ground: Maybe a step forward, maybe a distraction . . . needs more evidence.
- Light Red Stripes = Greenwashed Risks: Sounds good, but risks slowing real progress.
- Dark Red Stripes = Warning Bell: Corporate capture, fossil addiction, or policy backsliding.
- Black Stripes = Climate Disaster: Oil spills, fossil fuel lock-in, systemic injustice.
Your task: Look at each headline below. What’s the real impact on people and planet? Add your color . . . and explain why!
