Liz Courtney

y4p international co-founder

Liz Courtney, filmdirector and producer was awarded 100 women of influence award in 2015 for her vision to change the way we educate, inspire and motivate youth about the planet and our environment www.thetippingpoints.com. In 2016 she was inducted into the Australian Business Women’s Hall of Fame.

Liz changed stilletos for snowboots, leaving behind a highly successsful Media Communications background to pursue storytelling, where a chance role to direct 40 teenagers holding the first youth climate conference in Antarctica  changed her life. Liz raised 3 million dollars, created and directed The Tipping Points series now playing in over 50 countries; worked with the IPCC to create Earth’s Survival, and the UN to deliver Cool School Antarctica.

Co-creator of Youth4Planet 2015 Liz saw the need to give youth a voice for their future, recognizing them as THE GAMECHANGERS and used her skills, including digital, social media to create a pilot program in Germany with co-creator Joerg Altekruse. Liz is well respected for her translational science ability, and her boundless energy and enthusiasm for orchestrating change.

Liz has directed/produced over 45 documentaries in the last 10 years and is currently chair of Women4Change in Australia.

There are many more, of course, who have helped to shape and constantly improve the youth4planet concept all along the way: namely the young people, starting from the age of 6, with their questions and their curiosity and inventiveness. And of course the many friends and professionals that helped with their insight into technology, filmmaking, web and communication design, organisational and legal issues.

A list of our contributors will follow soon.
