A mobile studio. A solar-powered cargo bike. A classroom without walls.

find out more

The CreatiVelo is Youth4Planet’s mobile creative studio – a solar-powered electric cargo bike equipped with everything needed to run workshops, screen films, and spark conversations in public spaces, schools, festivals, and community settings.

And they go where the story is.

  • Solar-Powered

Each CreatiVelo is a fully self-contained mobile event and production studio, built on an electric cargo bike and powered by solar panels. Designed and built in Luxembourg in 2021, they were created to take sustainability education out of the classroom and into everyday public life.

  • Mobile studio

At the heart of each bike is a 50-inch 4K screen mounted behind a hinged wooden flap – visible in daylight, shaded for outdoor screenings. Everything else is packed into the cargo box: sound system, lighting, camera and recording equipment, a stage platform, and an inflatable dome tent for larger activations.

  • A unique look

The graphic design of the cargo box features sustainability-themed illustrations and infographics – making each CreatiVelo visually striking and immediately recognisable in any public space.

CreatiVelo

What it does

The CreatiVelo is used for a wide range of activations – from school courtyard workshops to public square screenings to multi-day festival presences. It can function as a screening room, a recording studio, an interview set, or a stage – often all at once.

It has toured Luxembourg extensively, appeared at major public events and festivals, and in 2021 made the journey from Luxembourg to Glasgow as part of the Earthbeat COP26 Tour – drawing attention and sparking conversations along the way.

The concept has since expanded internationally, with CreatiVelos now operating in India through Youth4Planet India, where young people build, modify, and ride their own versions to campaign in their communities.

          The beginning

          The story of the CreatiVelos

While the idea for the CreatiVelo was born in Hamburg inspired by a  cargo bike from a backery, the first 3 CreatiVelos were born in Luxembourg in 2021. They are a platform to show films and stories by young people all around the world: Stories of change, always connected to the 17 Goals for sustainability. These films are made and inspired in youth4planet workshops or in the earthbeat challenge – enabling everyone to tell their story in an engaging and interesting way.
